Advance Conflict Resolution

Employee assessments are tools that enable managers and team leaders to better orchestrate their teams, and resolve conflict. Assessments like the Profile Performance Indicator and Profile XT have the capability of quantifying an individual’s behavioral traits that will impact their attitude on the job. This information proves its worth especially in times of conflict. What can you coach your employees to do once the conflict has been resolved? How can you develop them so that a similar conflict between the same individuals is less likely to take place?

Chances are, if they already disagree, they won’t want to search for commonalities on their own.

A short video tutorial from Fast Company offers a humorous, yet brilliant suggestion. Most conflicts result from employees unable to share a viewpoint or thought process. If the differences are the conflict, then similarities should be the remedy. Do you think telling your employees to find similarities about each other is actually going to make a difference? Chances are, if they already disagree, they won’t want to search for commonalities on their own.

Team assessments provide managers with another tool that enables them to correlate the people in their departments. Assessing your team with a tool such as the Profiles Team Analysis will provide you with a substantial graph of information that notes similarities and differences throughout your entire team. Not only will your employees understand their areas that need development, but they can also find new similarities that otherwise may not have been recognized.
